Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced that some lucky Kenyans will be flown abroad before Christmas.
Mutua has noted that the said individuals will be successful candidates who will go through the National Job Recruitment Program.
According to the CS, the government has had successful recruitment drives in Machakos, Makueni, and Kitui counties. Consequently, the program had secured over 1,000 job opportunities for Nakuru residents.
The Nakuru City drive will take place on Monday, November 25, with the event taking place at the Rift Valley National Polytechnic from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
“We have secured over 1,000 job opportunities for Nakuru residents in countries such as Australia, Qatar, Poland, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Germany, among others,” stated Mutua.

Mutua directed the applicants to carry their National ID, relevant academic certificates, updated CV, and passport to the recruitment drive.
Further, he assured those without a passport that they would be quickly assisted to get one quickly if they were selected.
“This is an incredible opportunity to secure a job abroad. For some positions, successful candidates could be flying out before Christmas and start earning an income immediately.
“This initiative is in line with President William Ruto’s commitment to expanding job opportunities, both locally and internationally, as part of his broader agenda to improve livelihoods and create sustainable economic growth for Kenyans,” added the statement.
Additional recruitment sessions will take place on Tuesday, 26th November at Nyandarua National Polytechnic, on Wednesday, 27th November at Baringo National Polytechnic.

Initial Recruitments
The program began on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, and is meant to cover all 47 counties.
Mutua said the program followed the successful conclusion of recruitment for jobs in Qatar.
During the first phase, 3,247 Kenyans were selected out of 8,000 available positions, with nearly 1,500 already receiving offer letters and preparing to travel.
“We expect all those recruited to depart within the next few weeks to begin their careers,” Mutua stated.
