Activist Hanifa Farsafi has called out the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH)over negligence of anti-government protest victims.
In a statement on her Twitter (X) account, Hanifa accused the hospital of neglecting anti-government protest victims which she claimed has led to most deaths.
While citing the instance of one victim named Abdikhadir, the social media personality turned activist said that the doctors and nurses showed no sense urgency when he developed breathing difficulties.
“Now, everyone is saying how underwhelming the response from the doctors and nurses was when Khadir suddenly developed breathing difficulty.
All the patients in the wards can’t walk and the only one who could run out to call the doctors was shooed away. No urgency at all,” she lamented.

According to Hanifa, AbdiKhadhir’s wardmates recounted how slow the doctors responded when he developed breathing difficulties.
Additionally, she cited another case of a patient named Denis who was shot in his leg and had been reportedly neglected while in the premises of the facility.
“One Denis, who was shot on the leg has been neglected, his leg has rotten away and now he’s supposed to be amputated,” she said.

She hinted that there were arrangements to transfer the victims to a private facility if the hospital does not respond to the claims any time soon.
In a video seen by The Kenya Times, patients were heard complaining of how they have been neglected.
These allegations and videos posted by Hanifa sparked different reactions from Kenyans on X as they bashed the hospital and insinuated that they were in collaboration with the government.
A user by the name Miss Sifuna questioned whether “They left the leg to rot. Are they in cahoots with the government to finish off where the cops left?” she asked.
Another one by the name Don the DJ 254 urged the hospital to perform their duties and own to their mistakes.
Mchanga Contributions
“Please be humane for once and save lives,” he said.

She had shared a link to Mchanga online platform which was used by netizens to channel their funds which were used to cover hospital bills for victims and assist families with burial preparations.
