She revealed that she was bottom when she sat for her Certificate of Primary Examinations (CPE), adding that she could not get a place in secondary school.
“When I did my CPE, I was at the bottom, in fact, I could not get a place in secondary school. But because my sister was already in, Loreto Convent Girls’ Secondary School the nuns allowed me to go to the school just to keep us together.

By the time I finished at Loretto I was top of my class and by the time I came to this school I was right at the top,” she said.
KCSE Doesn’t Define Your Future
In her speech, the Uasin Gishu Woman Representative highlighted that KCSE results does not define the future of the students, noting that she is a living example.

“One result does not define you, I was always a C student, probably even a D student when I started out. But I completed with a strong finish as a straight A student,’ said Boss.
Further, Boss encouraged and congratulated all the candidates regardless of their performance in the exams.
“This announcement of results is very dear to me because like the previous speaker has said we should encourage and that is my message to those who will receive their results today. I congratulate you on whatever results you will get,” she said.

Boss a Moi Girls School Alumni
In addition, the Moi Girls Eldoret alumni thanked Education CS Ezekiel Machogu for hosting the KCSE results at the school.
“This is the very room that we used to have our assemblies, it was still a small school those days. Today I have come accompanied by my cousin who was my classmate and I told her to come with me so that we support the CS.
Thank you, CS, for having the wisdom to decide to announce the results not only from my hometown but my former school,” she said.

Life After Exams
Besides, she explained that the candidates have the opportunity to improve at every stage of their lives after KCSE.
For this reason, she said the examining system should not be an elimination program but an accommodating program.
“This will allow C students like me who were at the bottom of the class to continue to be encouraged and have hope and know that things can change,” she stated.
She advised those with lower grades to join Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) institutions and colleges.
Even those students who will receive their results today and may not be at the top remember you have the opportunity to go TVETs and colleges and eventually make your way to be a professor.
