Elsewhere, Israel claimed responsibility for the killing of Major General Majid Khademi in a strike that targeted senior Iranian officials.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement that the operation was part of Israel’s ongoing campaign against the Iran’s “terror leadership.”
The Revolutionary Guard is shooting at civilians, and we are eliminating the leaders of the terrorists,” said Katz.
Catz added that Israel had also inflicted heavy damage on Iran’s steel and petrochemical industries in recent strikes.
“We will continue to crush Iran’s national infrastructure and bring about the erosion and collapse of the terrorist regime and its ability to promote terror and launch attacks against the State of Israel,” he said.

Additionally, Axios reported that the talk is set to focus on finding a permanent solution to end the war.
The Iranian officials also noted that the chances of reaching even a partial agreement within the next 48 hours remain slim, but the discussion will minimize further destruction.
