Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu on Tuesday, November 19, addressed reports stating that her property was put up for auction.
In an interview with K24 TV, the senator stated that some individuals were attempting to tarnish her reputation.
“There are people who think they can use the media and rogue means to arm-twist and intimidate you into giving in and doing things to suit their whims, making commitments they know very well are not right. I am here to teach them that it does not work with everyone. The right way has to be followed,” Nyamu said.
The Senator added that she preferred not to address her matters in public.

In addition, the nominated senator said that some Kenyans offered to raise money for her after reports on the planned auction broke.
Nyamu, however, assured, that she was not broke while expressing her gratitude for the concern shown.
“On Monday, November 18, a section of Kenyans raised money for me, thinking that I am broke. No, I am not broke. Thanks for the concern. I actually received some contributions on my phone.
I am thankful to Kenyans, but I am fine. I don’t need it now. When I do, I will definitely share a pay bill number,” she said jokingly.
