A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer has surrendered to military police a few hours after dumping his girlfriend’s body outside a health facility in Kitengela, Kajiado County.
According to the police report (OB 42/27/04/2025), the suspect is based at Kahawa Garrison Defence Forces Constabulary.

Kajiado Police said the soldier had booked a room in an apartment in Kitengela to spend time with his girlfriend before she died.
Police said the lady became unconscious and developed difficulty breathing at around 11 pm.

The soldier raised the alarm and asked one of the tenants to help take the lady to St Paul’s Hospital, Kitengela.
“Around 11 pm, the deceased became unconscious and developed difficulty in breathing, where he (the suspect) raised an alarm and the caretaker responded,” the report reads.

“They requested one of the tenants to assist with his motor vehicle to carry the deceased to St Paul’s Hospital Kitengela, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.”
KDF Officer Escapes from Hospital
However, the nurses said the woman had died upon arrival at the hospital.
They advised the two men who had brought her to report the case at the police station.
The officer said he was going to call someone to assist them, but instead ran away and jumped over the hospital gate.
“The nurses advised the two who brought the body to report the case at the police station. The driver claimed he was going to call for someone to assist them. A few minutes later, the woman’s boyfriend ran away and jumped over the gate of the hospital,” read the police report.
According to preliminary investigations, the woman had no visible injuries on her body, but there was blood in her genitals.

Officer Reports to Military Police
The soldier told the police that, fearing unknown consequences, he had run to his barracks at Kahawa Garrison and reported to Military Police, where he was detained in the guardroom and later escorted to the Kitengela DCI office on Saturday afternoon.
The body was moved to Shalom Mortuary, awaiting post-mortem.
Isinya Sub-County Police boss Patrick Manyasi said the officer returned to his barracks at Kahawa Garrison and reported to the Military Police.
Manyasi said the officer was detained in the guardroom and later escorted to the Kitengela DCI office on Saturday afternoon, where he was questioned by DCI officers and detained.

Postmoterm
He stated that police are waiting for the doctor’s report and postmortem results before taking further action.
“We will have to wait for the doctor’s report for us to act. The postmortem will be done on Monday next week, and from there we will know the move to take,” Manyasi said.
The body was transferred to the Shalom Community Hospital mortuary.
