The Kenya Airports Authority has warned Kenyans over scammers out to defraud Kenyans with fake employment opportunities.
In a statement on Tuesday December 12, KAA said all available jobs are only advertised through its official website or on the newspapers.
The Authority flagged a notice making rounds on social media targeting desperate job seekers with non-existing career vacancies.
Kenya Airports Authority Warning to Kenyans
According to the Authority the fraudsters have been making false employment offers through counterfeit social media accounts.

“We have been alerted to the fraudulent activities of individuals making false employment offers in the name of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA). The public is being targeted through counterfeit social media accounts and misleading posters,” read the notice in part.
Likewise, KAA advised Kenyans on where to find genuine job offers.
“Please note that all authentic KAA job vacancies are only advertised on our official website (http://www.kaa.go.ke) and in recognized national newspapers,” read the notice by KAA.
Official Verified KAA Adverts Sources
At the time Kenya Airports maintained that the stated sources are authentic and verifiable hence any KAA adverts that are not from the stated platforms should be ignored.
“We advise job seekers to only trust these sources and ignore job offers from any unverified platforms,” stated KAA.

Meanwhile, the Authority also warned Kenyans to beware of fake emails purporting to be from the Kenya Airports Authority, noting the correct domains used when sending Emails.
“Furthermore, genuine communication from KAA will only come from email addresses ending in ‘. go(dot)Ke’. We do not use ‘Gmail(dot)com’ or any other non-official email domains for official recruitment purposes,” stated KAA.
Similarly, the government body has urged Kenyans to exercise caution and confirm the legitimacy of any job-related messages claiming to originate from KAA while asking them to report incidents of fraud.
“Your awareness and effort to share this information play a vital role in protecting our community from fraudulent activities,” stated the Authority.
Other Govt Fake Jobs Advert
In May 2023, the Judicial Service Commission warned the public against falling prey to fake job advertisements.
In a statement, JSC said several fraudsters were out to con jobseekers who are looking for opportunities.
“The Judicial Commission are pleading to the public to take note that, formal communication from the authorized Judicial Service Commission will be made through their official lines and their email address, which is 020-2333191 and 020-2739180,” read the statement.
