NCBA Bank Managing Director and CEO John Gachora has been re-elected to chair the Kenya Bankers Association(KBA).
He will serve for a period of one year
Gachora was elected on Thursday During KBA’s Annual General Meeting.
During the meeting Family Bank CEO Rebecca Mbithi was elected to serve as the Vice chairperson
Credit Bank Chief Executive Officer Betty Korir will serve as a Governing Council member, representing female bank CEOs.
Diamond Trust Bank Managing Director and CEO Nasim Devji also represents female bank CEO’s on the board.
The AGM also saw the incorporation of Kenya Women Microfinance Bank (KWFT) as a member of the Governing Council, representing microfinance members .
KBA CEO Habil Olaka said the Association would continue reinforcing the industry’s role in advancing Kenya’s sustainable economic development.
