The Advance Links Services on Thursday, December 6 advertised 100 nursing job opportunities in Austria for Kenyans to apply.
In a statement, the company called on qualified Kenyans to apply for those opportunities.
“We are seeking qualified and experienced Registered Nurses (BSc in Nursing) [Highly desired) and Diploma in Nursing to join healthcare facilities across Austria,” the statement read.
According to Advance Links Services, which is a Kenyan recruitment agency, this role requires nursing professionals with a strong command of the German language at B2 level or higher, and hands-on experience in specialized medical departments (highlighted below).

The Kenyan recruitment agency is also seeking qualified and experienced Registered Nurses (BSc in Nursing) with a command of the German Language at B1 level.

The key responsibilities of the nurses include:
1. Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various hospital departments.
2. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, specialists, and healthcare workers.
3. Monitor patients’ conditions, administer medication, and maintain accurate medical records.
4. Perform medical procedures and assist in the development of patient care plans.
5. Ensure that patient care is delivered according to the highest international standards and hospital protocols.
6. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and spital management in German.
7. Adhere to hospital policies and participate in continuous professional development programs.

Qualifications and requirements
Qualification and requirements for the nursing position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSc Nursing) from a recognized learning institution.
- Diploma in nursing from a recognized learning Institution.
- Must have B2 level proficiency in the German language; (Must be ready to relocate and settle in Austria by June 2025.)
- In the alternative, must have B1 level proficiency in the German language (and be willing to get to B2 proficiency).
- 2-3 years working experience working in one or more of the following areas: ER, ICU, NICU, Maternity, General Wards. Pediatrics, Geriatrics, or other specialized units.
- Must be compassionate, patient, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new environments and work under pressure.
- Valid professional nursing license (Nursing Council of Kenya certification, or its equivalent.)
