The United Kingdom has issued a fresh travel notice for people planning to visit or transit through Japan, urging travelers to stay informed about developments that could affect their journeys.
In a statement dated June 3, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said the advisory reflects the impact of Typhoon No. 6 Jangmi, which is currently affecting central parts of Japan, including the Tokyo area.
“Typhoon No. 6 Jangmi is currently affecting central Japan, including the Tokyo area, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and disruption to air and rail services. Localized flooding and transport delays are possible,” the FCDO advisory read in part.

The authorities have warned that airspace closures, flight delays and cancellations linked to the crisis may affect travelers even if their final destination is not in the Middle East.
