United Kingdom’s King Charles III extended an exclusive luncheon invitation to Kenyans in Britain ahead of his historic visit to Nairobi.
Roseline Njogu, Kenya’s Principal Secretary of the State Department of Diaspora Affairs, was elated as she made the revelation on Tuesday, October 24.

Notably, the invitation marks a significant moment as part of the celebrations for the 60th Anniversary of Kenyan Independence.

“The Master of The King’s Household is commanded by Their Majesties to invite Ms. Roseline Njogu to a Reception to be given at Buckingham Palace by the King and Queen,” read part of the statement.
Moreover, in her statement, Njogu shared vital details for the luncheon, including the dress code – Lounge Suit/Day Dress/National Dress – and arrival time between 12:00 and 12:20 pm local time.

The anticipation for the monarch’s visit is mounting, with President Ruto meeting the British High Commissioner to Kenya, Neil Wigan, at State House Nairobi on October 23.
