The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced a training exercise for examiners for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
In a statement on Tuesday, July 11, KNEC stated that the training will take place between August the 13th and 19th this year.
Candidates shortlisted for the training will pay a fee of Ksh. 10,500. Furthermore, KNEC will notify successful applicants via an SMS with details of the portal on how to make the payments.
Moreover, KNEC announced that they will communicate the venue for training to shortlisted applicants after payment of the fees.
KNEC also noted that teachers already trained as KCES examiners and are in their database do not need to apply for this training session.

How to Apply
- Access the KNEC examiners portal using the link https://knec.ac.ke.
- Those with Cp2 accounts are advised to log into the portal using their username and password.
- Those without Cp2 accounts should click on create account and follow the instructions to acquire the login credentials.
- Applicants should then complete their personal profile and save. On the dashboard, click on apply training and all the declared vacancies will be available for the applicants to choose.

According to the Ministry of Education, the KCSE, which is a national test for form four candidates, will run for three weeks between November 3rd and 24th.
At the same time, the current second term will end on August 12th before students break for two weeks and resume classes for the third term on August 28th.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCSE) will run concurrently with the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) Exams for Grade 6 learners from October 30th to November 2nd.
