KNEC Releases 2023 KCSE Certificates Release
The certificates have been released months after the release of 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results in February 2024.
The 2022 KCSE results were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday, January 20, 2023, while the 2023 results were released on January 8, 2024.
However, the CS admitted to errors recorded in the 2023 results such as misalignment of marks and incorrect grading in subjects like Kiswahili.
While releasing the results, Machogu revealed that KNEC used a new grading system where the examiners picked Mathematics, one language and five other best performed subjects to compute the final mean grade.
He explained that the new grading system would help to ensure candidates do not fall short of pursuing their dream courses in universities.
