Rev Julian Kyula is the founder and Senior Pastor of Ruach Ministries, which was founded in 2007 as The Purpose Centre Church in Nairobi.
He is well known for his expertise in leadership, entrepreneurship, and influential thinking across Africa and globally.
Educational Background of Rev. Julian Kyula
Kyula attended nine different primary schools in various parts of Kenya due to his father’s job at Barclays Bank, now known as Absa Bank, which required frequent relocation.
He completed his secondary education at Alliance High School in Thogoto, Kiambu County.
He later attended Beulah Heights University, where he received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity in 2024.
Career Life
His career started after High School when he worked for a UK-based real estate company that specialized in asset evolution.
He gained international experience with Allegis Group in Houston, Texas, and as an Operations Analyst for Nationwide Credit. Later, he worked in the credit sector, including the Credit Reference Bureau Africa.

From a young age, Julian was entrepreneurial; he used to sell snacks at school to fellow students.
His most notable achievement was in 2010 when he launched Mobile Decisioning (MODE), a fintech company that started as a Nairobi-based company and became a global force operating across more than twenty countries.
He also founded Beulah City, a leading affordable housing development company.
Family
Rev Kyula comes from a family of seven, consisting of his father, who passed away in January 2020, his mother, and four sisters. He is the second child and only son.
Julian has been married to Amanda Kyula for over 15 years, and they have three sons, Nehemiah, Noah, and Nolan. Together, Julian and Amanda are building a legacy of family and community impact.
He started The Purpose Centre Church in 2007, and he later rebranded it to Ruach Ministries. Julian, together with his wife, Amanda, co-leads the church.
They are inspiring thousands through their teachings, worship, and mentorship, blending spirituality with practical wisdom for everyday life.
Julian Kyula holds the position of Chairman at Beulah City Ltd, which aims to spearhead housing developments throughout Africa. Beulah City stands out for offering upscale housing solutions at accessible prices.

In September 2025, Julian Kyula, under the Ruach Assemblies, hosted the Rhema Feast in Nairobi at the iconic Uhuru Park. It was a five-day event that took place from September 1st to September 5th, 2025, an event that was designed to bring spiritual revival and prophetic directions to believers in Kenya and across the world.
2025’s Rhema Feast took social media platforms by storm, marking its 10th edition since its inception. Well-known gospel artists like Evelyne Wanjiru, Bishop Kathy Kiuna, Sinachi, Apostle Joshua Selman, Nairobi’s Governor Hon. Johnson Sakaja, among others, graced the extravaganza as believers from all generations gathered at Uhuru Park.
