Murkomen on Road Accidents
According to the Authority, the closure was to allow for the installation of culverts and reinstatement works at two sections.
KeNHA provided traffic regulations to ensure seamless flow of traffic during the working days.
Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has also been at the forefront in the fight to reduce traffic accidents.
Speaking in May, Murkomen urged Kenyans to adhere to traffic rules and attributed the road crashes to recklessness.

Murkomen stated that the government, through relevant agencies, will implement stringent measures to curb road carnage.
“Many road accidents in the country result from outright recklessness,” Murkomen said.
He noted, however, that pedestrians, particularly in big cities, suffer the most from road fatalities.
He also assured Kenyans that the ministry is doing everything possible to ensure road safety, including installing speed cameras and directing the NTSA to crack down on unroadworthy vehicles and irresponsible motorists.
