Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria rode on a boda boda to a Cabinet meeting at the Kakamega State Lodge on Tuesday, August 29.
The CS shared a video on social media, having a conversation with a boda boda rider who was ferrying him.
Kuria could be heard telling the rider that the president does not condone lateness in his meetings, and he did not want to lose his job.
“The President is very strict, I don’t want to lose my job, ” Moses Kuria said.
Furthermore, when CS Moses Kuria was asked by the boda boda rider why he did not have his car, he said that his driver was late.
The boda boda rider identified as Bernard did not hide his joy of seeing the controversial CS and had a candid conversation with him.
“I am happy to see you, my name is Bernard, I am in Kakamega, as boda boda rider. I am shocked to see you for the first time in Kakamega, having woken up early yet you have drivers. I have not seen your car,” the boda boda rider stated.
The President who is on a 5-day working visit in Western region, chaired a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, August 29.
Moreover, the CS was once late for an event at State House and was locked out together with his Interior counterpart Kithure Kindiki.
Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) had mixed reactions to the post, some felt it was a publicity stunt while other encouraged the CS to keep time to save his job.
“The drama is best; you and that boda guy should now go for auditioning. You both outdid yourself in the presence of your camera guy,” Kevin, a twitter user stated.

Moses Kuria late for Ruto event
On August 1, Moses Kuria was one of the CSs who turned up late during the signing of performance contracts of Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and heads of parastatals at State House, Nairobi.
During the event, President William Ruto demanded an apology from Cabinet Secretaries and other top government officials who arrived late.

“For those who came late, who are members of the Executive. I will be expecting a written explanation from you. Those who claim of traffic does not add up,” Ruto stated.
