Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has schooled Mount Kenya region over the new Cabinet nominees.
In a post via his X account Ngunyi blamed the Central region for playing hard to get with President William Ruto, a move he says has disadvantaged them in terms of representatives of the region to the cabinet.
According to Ngunyi, leaders from the Central region supported the Gen Z-led protests and lost track of the nominations, allowing leaders from other regions to dominate in Ruto’s list of nominees.
“Dear Kikuyus: Do you understand the new Ruto Cabinet? As you played hard to get with Ruto and sponsored Gen Z, solid leaders from other regions joined cabinet. You are represented by non -descript fellows,” stated Ngunyi.

While speaking in his vernacular language the MP, said the people of Mt Kenya should put pride aside to avoid being sidelined by other regions and in government.
“If we fail to put our pride as the people of the mountain aside, we will be left on our own,” noted Kiunjuri.
