Kibwezi West Member of Parliament, Mwengi Mutuse, and his constituents spent part of Saturday, October 5 discussing Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment.
According to a leaked WhatsApp conversation, residents of Kibwezi West residents were unhappy when their MP tabled an impeachment motion against the DP.
Some of the residents claim Mutuse was allegedly being used by high-profile leaders to embarrass the Kamba community.
They further suggested that the Kibwezi West legislator had allegedly been bribed to spearhead the second in command’s impeachment arguing that the deal did not benefit him in any significant way.

At the same time, Kibwezi West residents urged the legislator to redeem himself by redrafting the impeachment motion to include President William Ruto’s name instead of DP Gachagua’s.
“For this motion to go through our friend Mwengi Mutuse must go back to the drawing board, redraft again ‘Removal of President’,” one Kibwezi West resident suggested.
