The Nairobi County Public Service Board has shortlisted candidates for 42 permanent and pensionable positions that had been advertised in December 2023.
Candidates who applied for the jobs have been directed to check for more information on the dates, time and venue for the interviews and next steps from the Nairobi Assembly website at www.nairobiassembly.go.ke.
Also, a notice from the board detailed that the shortlisted candidates will be taking up 30 roles designations as advertised in the December 2023 notice.
Further, when appearing for the interviews, candidates have been advised to bring their original certificates, original testimonials and original National identity card.
“Candidates are hereby advised to report for the interviews on the dates and the time indicated against their names. Candidates are advised to use hranairobiassembly.go.ke for any inquiries.
“The interviews will take place at Lamada Hotel, Nairzes City County. They are also required to bring their original certificate original testimonials and original National identity card,” indicated the notice.
Additionally, the Nairobi County Public Service Board warned that candidates will be disqualified if found engaging in any form of bribery or canvassing to secure a job.
“Please note that canvassing will automatically disqualify a candidate. The Nairobi City County Assembly Service Board is an equal opportunity employer, and it does not charge a fee at a stage of the recruitment process,” explained the notice.

Nairobi County Details the Vacancies and Job Description
In the December 20223 advert, the county government indicated that it was looking to fill up 30 job positions, with others including Security officers, Clerk Assistants, Accountants, Sergeant at Arms, and Hansard Reporters, requiring more than one individual.
Interested candidates were supposed to submit applications in their own handwriting accompanied by two-page curriculum Vitae, certified copies of relevant academic and Professional Certificates, and a national Identity card.
In addition, they were required to submit certificates of clearance from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission, certificates of clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau, Higher Education Loans Board, Criminal Investigations Department and the Kenya Revenue Authority.
Also, applicants were directed to fill an applicant’s details form provided on the website and clearly indicate the position and advert number applied for.

Applications were to be submitted in an envelope and hand delivered to the Office of the Clerk, Nairobi County Assembly at city hall.
Other jobs listed included Audio-Visual Officer, Principal Public Communication and Media Relations office, Senior Public Communication and Media Relations Officer, Public Communication and Media Relations officer II, Senior ICT Officer, Chief Sergeant At Arms, Senior Security Officer.
Also, the county government was recruiting for a Senior Human Resource Officer, a Principal Records Management Officer, a Records Management Officer, Principal Finance and Planning Officer, Senior Accountant, Principal Administrative Officer, a Store Officer, a Senior Legal Counsel among others.
