The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced applications for the September intake for students wanting to pursue Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) courses.
In a statement dated Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Placement Service has announced that the application for the intake will be open between June 23 and July 7, 2025.
“Announcement! The KUCCPS System is open for KMTC September 2025 intake application. View available Programmes here: https://students.kuccps.net/programmes/search-kmtc/ Log in to apply. Deadline: July 7, 2025,” read the statement.
In the KUCCPS portal, students who sat for the Kenya Certificate and Secondary Education (KCSE) exams can pursue courses within KMTC between Diploma and Certificate Courses depending on the grade one acquired in the KCSE examination.
Diploma and Certificate Courses Offered at KMTC via KUCCPS
Some of the diploma courses listed on the Placement Service Portal include Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Diploma in Radiography and Imaging, Diploma in Mortuary Science, Diploma in Medical Engineering, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Diploma in Physiotherapy, and Diploma in Community Health.
Other courses include Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Public Health, Diploma in Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, Diploma in Medical Social Work, Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology, Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, Diploma in Occupational Therapy, and Diploma in Health Counselling.

Certificate courses being offered for the KMTC September 2025 include Certificate in Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Certificate in Medical Engineering, Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician, Certificate in Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, Certificate in Health Insurance Management, Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology, Certificate in Community Health Assistance, Certificate in Public Health, and Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Application Instructions
1.Interested candidates can access the student’s portal using the link students.kuccps.net o
2. Once in, click the Login tab and input your KCSE Index Number, KCSE year and Password in the provided slots. Your password is your Birth Certificate Number or Your KCPE Index Number.
3.Once logged in, click “KMTC Programmes” to view available courses and their minimum requirements. Applicants will only be able to apply for courses where they meet minimum requirements. Download the PDF document containing the details of the available programmes for ease of reference.
4.Once you have decided on your preferred courses, you will be required to enter the Programme Codes.
5.To apply, click the “KMTC Application” tab then “Apply Now”.
6.Enter the Programme Codes in the provided form. Arrange them in your order of priority, from your most preferred course (No. 1) to your least preferred course (No. 4).
7.After entering the programme codes for all the courses that you want, allow the system to fetch all the programmes details before you click Submit.
8.On submitting, you will be required to pay Ksh1,500 and the portal will display the payment instructions.
