The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has announced job opportunities for individuals interested in contributing to the democratic process by joining its County Elections Committees.
These committees play a crucial role in overseeing Party primaries, grassroots elections, and candidate nominations, ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process within the Party.
In a circular released on Thursday, April 4, the party stated, “The National Elections Board is mandated by the Party Constitution to plan, organize, direct, conduct, supervise and/or coordinate all Party primaries, Grassroots elections and nomination of candidates to Party Lists.”
“The Board in pursuance to Rule 13 of the Party Primaries and Nomination Rules wishes to fill vacancies in County Elections Committees and hereby invite suitably qualified members to apply.”
Eligibility Conditions
To be eligible for these positions, applicants must meet specific criteria set by the ODM Party National Elections Board.
These requirements include:
1. Must be a life member of the Party in good standing for at least two years.
2. Must have post-secondary education.
3. Must demonstrate involvement in the Party’s programs and/or activities.
4. Must have experience in administration.
5. Possess basic computer literacy skills.
6. Must have good communication skills.
7. Must be a registered voter and/or resident in the County for which they have applied.

Documents Required in the ODM Commitee Job
Additionally, applicants are urged to submit a detailed curriculum vitae (CV) along with a brief description of their involvement in Party activities.
“The applications must be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae and a write-up of no more than 300 words demonstrating your participation in Party activities,” read the statement.
Also, they are encouraged to send these documents via email or deliver them in person to the Party’s headquarters in Nairobi.
“These documents should be sent to the Board via email at nebwodm.co.ke or may be delivered to the Party’s headquarters at Chungwa House, along Loiyangalani Drive, Lavington, Nairobi.
Furthermore, the deadline for submissions was set for April 8, 2024, at exactly 4:00 pm.
Qualities Required for the Job
The Board has placed a strong emphasis on integrity, character, and diversity, encouraging individuals from all backgrounds, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities, to apply for these positions.
