President Ruto and First Lady Rachel Share Christmas Message for Kenyans

President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto have shared a heartfelt Christmas message with Kenyans as the country prepares to celebrate the festive season.

In a video shared on Tuesday, December 24 morning, the President expressed gratitude to the hardworking Kenyans who are striving to build the nation’s economy.

The video features various moments where the President interacts with citizens in their daily lives, showcasing a vivid picture of unity and progress.

“This Christmas, I invite you to join me on a brief journey to honor the millions of men and women whose dedication is profoundly shaping our national transformation efforts and significantly contributing to nation-building,” President Ruto remarked.

He acknowledged the remarkable strides the country has made, stating, “Because of their hard work and determination, we can see tangible evidence that the journey toward building a stronger, more united, secure, and prosperous Kenya is well underway.”

At the same time, President Ruto indirectly highlighted some achievements of his administration.

Throughout the video, the President emphasized various achievements, including the Taifa Care program, by sharing images of healthcare workers providing critical medical attention to those in need.

The video also shows President Ruto engaging with healthcare workers as they attend to patients.

“Our health workers are guardians of our well-being, using their knowledge, skills, and compassion to ensure every Kenyan has access to care. Your work is the foundation of a healthier nation and a brighter future,” Ruto noted.

Additionally, the President promoted his affordable housing program, showcasing images of newly constructed buildings across the country.

He emphasized the significance of this initiative, saying, “Every brick you lay moves our country forward toward a future of dignity, security, and inclusive growth. In constructing these homes, we are building lasting residences for Kenyan families.”

First Lady encourages Kenyans to continue cultivating their land

The President also encouraged Kenyans to embrace tree planting during the festive season, highlighting its vital role in enhancing water catchment areas, combating climate change, and beautifying the land.

“The tree-planting program is our collective expression of hope for a beautiful, bountiful Kenya now and for generations to come,” he said.

On her part, First Lady Rachel Ruto encouraged Kenyans to share whatever they can with those in need.

She also urged farmers to continue cultivating their land to provide organic food for their families, highlighting the progress she has made with her kitchen garden at State House. Some images of her garden were shared in the video.
