Quiver Lounge Kitengela has responded to sexual harassment allegations made by a former staffer in a viral video.
The lounge came into the limelight after a video of a former female employee who was allegedly fired after refusing to sleep with a manager shared her experience.
On Thursday, June 6, nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba visited the establishment where an official confirmed that the manager accused of the harassment has been suspended.
“The manager has been suspended and pending investigations,’’ said the manager in a video shared by the Senator.

Additionally, the lounge explained that the staff who had been fired by the manager would be called back to the proprietor and those that had been demoted would be reinstated.
“We have involved law enforcement authorities to make sure that if such cases arise the perpetrators will be brought to book and those who have been dismissed, we have called them to help in investigations, and those that were fired we will reinstate them,’’ the manager acknowledged.

The nominated senator went ahead to acknowledge that necessary steps have been taken and pointed out that sometimes employees can really alter the normal functioning of a business.
“I have a lot of evidence handed over to me and I shall pass it to the police for investigations. Also, what I have learnt is that saa zingine unaeza kuwa na manager mmoja ambaye anaharibu kazi ya mtu ameng’ang’ana,” Orwoba said.
This video sparked reactions on Twitter (X) with Kenyans expressing support for Orwoba’s actions to follow up on the sexual allegations case.

In the viral video the lady expressed her bitterness, stating that managers in nightclubs force waitresses to sleep with them in exchange for job security and later fire them when their demands are turned down.
In addition, she pointed out that managers give empty promises of high positions to lure them. Later, the women end up being fired and their desires not met.
