President William Ruto is mourning ‘Sipangwingwi’ hit maker and artists Byron Muhando Kivisi commonly known as Byron Papi.
In a statement on Thursday, September 21, the Head of State described the producer as a talented young man with a calm and collected demeanor.
Moreover, Ruto revealed that he first met the artist at the residence of the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in Karen during the recording sessions of ‘Sipangwingi’.
“Deeply saddened by the death of music producer and artist Byron Muhando Kivisi. Byron was first introduced to me by music sensation Xray during a music recording session of the hit song Sipangwingwi at the Deputy President’s residence in Karen.
“I recall with fondness his calm and collected demeanor, but more importantly his immense talent that made him an acclaimed music producer,” says Ruto.
In addition, Ruto has sent his condolences to the family of Kivisi and his fans adding that he has died at a young age.
“It is disheartening that we have lost Byron at a prime age. We are comforted by the fact that his works of art will live on.
To the family, friends and his fans, accept our sincere condolences. Rest In Peace, Byron,” added the statement.

The Death of Sipangwingwi singer
There is no known credible information on how the celebrated producer met his death. However, the news of his death was first shared on Monday, September 18, 2023.
However, family, friends and fan mourned Kivisi on different social media platforms describing him as a kind, passionate and ambitious young man.
His legacy and art continue to grace the stereos of many Kenyans and fans.
Who is the Byron Muhando Kivisi
Kivisi is a renown Genge tone producer in Kenya and has produced several hit songs including ‘Washerati’ sang by Kenyan artists X-ray who is part of the Bundox Gang singing group.
Moreover, Kivisi has also produced hit song ‘Pesa Ndogo’ sang by award winning Kenya artist Mejja among may other songs.

Several deaths of entertainers and Kenyan celebrities have been reported in the past week including the death of Kenyan artist Michael Mugo.
Mugo, who sang the hit song ‘Bangi’ was reported dead on Sunday, September 17, by his family and friends.
Additionally, Kenyan fashion Model and Influencer Shan Wa Nita was reported dead on Sunday, September 17. Wa Nita died in a road accident.
