The Social Health Authority (SHA) has appointed 16 new Deputy Directors and nine Principal Claims Management Officers.
In a statement on Thursday, October 9, the authority said the appointments followed a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on July 29, 2025.
“SHA Board is pleased to announce the appointment of sixteen new Deputy Directors and nine Principal Claims Management Officers. These appointments follow a competitive and transparent recruitment process that began on 29th July, 2025,” read the notice in part.
The authority noted that the newly appointed senior management team brings a wealth of invaluable experience that will be crucial in steering the Social Health Authority toward achieving its core mandate.
It added that the team will also play a key role in providing financial risk protection for Kenyan residents and ensuring access to quality healthcare.
“The Board extends its profound gratitude to the staff for their unwavering dedication and support provided to the interim senior management team during the transition period,” SHA Chairperson Abdi Mohamed said.

This comes less than a month after Dr. Abdi Mohamed announced the appointment of four senior directors to the health body.
The new appointees were Dr. Diana Marion, who will serve as Director of Provider and Beneficiary Management, and Golda Larissa Akolo, who will serve as Director of Benefits and Claims Management.
Others included Mohamed Alio Ibrahim as Director of Corporate Services, and Jonathan Leisen as Director of Funds and Finance Management.
