The Transport Licensing Appeals Board (TLAB) has suspended Super Metro Limited’s operations for three days. In a statement on Monday, April 14, Super Metro informed the public and customers that it has achieved 90 percent compliance with the directives issued by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the TLAB.
However, the Board suspended the Company so that it could finish the remaining compliance measures.
“Following a hearing with the Transport Licensing Appeals Board today, the Board has directed Super Metro Limited to suspend operations for the next three days to finalize the remaining compliance measures,” reads part of the statement.
Super Metro said it remains committed to fully adhering to all regulatory requirements to ensure the safety and satisfaction of its passengers.
Additionally, the Company stated that it respects the decision and will resume operations when the authorities approve the compliance measures.
“Super Metro Limited fully respects the decisions of the TLAB and the court. We are working diligently to address the outstanding compliance issues within the stipulated timeframe and will resume operations as soon as we receive approval from the relevant authorities,” reads another part of the statement.
The Company emphasized its dedication to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transport services.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this temporary suspension may cause to our customers and stakeholders. We appreciate your understanding and support during this period,” Super Metro added.

NTSA Suspension
This comes after NTSA suspended Super Metro Limited license on March 20, 2025.
NTSA has cautioned members of the public against boarding vehicle belonging to the Company.
It directed the Traffic Department to impound vehicles belonging to the Company found operating contrary to the suspension.
“This is to notify the Public that the Authority has suspended Super Metro Limited’s operator licence until the Company fully complies with the Public Service Vehicles Regulations, 2014 and other set conditions,” NTSA said.

Super Metro Resume Operations
However, Super Metro resumed operations after the TLAB temporarily lifted NTSA’s suspension on March 24.
In an earlier press statement issued Super Metro called on the NTSA to review their updated compliance status and reconsider the suspension of their operations.
The Company said it adhered to NTSA regulations, stating that the allegations against it were outdated and inaccurate.
Besides, Super Metro refuted NTSA’s accusations that five of their 294 vehicles had expired inspection certificates, while fifteen lacked valid Road Service Licenses (RSL).
