A group of 50 youth from Mogotio, Baringo County, trekked 250km over three days, pushing a yellow United Democratic Alliance (UDA)- branded wheelbarrow from Noiwet village to Nairobi’s Hustler Plaza on February 3, 2026, to show their unwavering loyalty to President Ruto and the party.
Led by Emmanuel Kipkurui (“Mania”), the group thanked the area Member of Parliament, Reuben Kiborek, and Kenya Kwanza for local projects, including roads, a Huduma Centre, housing, and a livestock institute.
UDA Treasurer Japheth Nyakundi received them, praising the gesture as a show of firm grassroots support ahead of the 2027 election.
The group started their journey on Friday from Noiwet village, Ngubereti location, Mogotio ward, Baringo County.
They wore yellow UDA gear and pushed the wheelbarrow, the party symbol, over three days to Hustler Plaza on Ngong Road. Local resident Mama Grace Sialo Tangut provided milk and water during the trek.

About The UDA Party
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA), chaired by Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire and led by President William Ruto, has remained the country’s largest party by representation, holding 138 National Assembly seats and 22 Senate seats since 2022.
Its “Kazi ni Kazi” slogan and yellow wheelbarrow symbol champion the empowerment of hustlers through bottom-up economics. Its strength was recently bolstered by a January 2025 merger with ANC and by grassroots election drives ahead of internal polls.
