Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has announced that Uhuru and Central Park recreational facilities will be reopened to the public in December 2022.
While flagging off the World Tourism Day at City Hall, Nairobi, governor Sakaja stated that the recreational facilities will be free of charge to Nairobians who wish to visit the parks.
“This is just the beginning, the county is in the process of rehabilitating all the parks across the county where our people can rest and enjoy the environment,” Sakaja stated.
Furthermore, the governor added that his administration is already working to reclaim all social places that had been grabbed and repurpose to their initial use where young people can be able to exploit their talents and be creative.
“Some scrupulous people have grabbed some of these social amenity’s areas, we are reclaiming them, improving them and will create new ones to ensure every sub-county has at least a recreational facility,” he added.
