Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday, December 11, met with Azimio Leader Raila Odinga and other Jubilee party leaders.
The Deputy Organizing Secretary of the Jubilee party Pauline Njoroge revealed that the former president and Odinga met Jubilee leaders from Kiambu county to discuss party matters.
However, the deputy organizing secretary, who was also present during the meeting, did not divulge the details of the meeting.
“H.E Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga meeting Jubilee leaders from Kiambu County, and other party leaders this evening,” she stated.
Notably, the meeting took place concurrently with a meeting led by Jubilee acting Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni.
Kioni met with jubilee leaders in Nyandarua county to discuss the way forward for the party and get more followers from the grassroot areas.
“Thrilled to host Nyandarua County’s dedicated Jubilee Party delegates today. Excited to see the unwavering support and commitment for Jubilee still going strong in Nyandarua,” stated Kioni.

Reactions After the Meeting
Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi hit out at Uhuru Kenyatta after the images of the two-meeting surfaced stating that he was wasting Raila’s time.
According to Ngunyi, Uhuru failed to help Raila secure the presidential seat in the 2022 general elections and would not help him secure any other political seat.
“Uhuru is keeping Raila busy, taking him nowhere. If he could not make him President in 2022, what will he make him now? This is a trap.

“And if I am wrong, I do not choose to be right,” Ngunyi stated adding that the Azimio leader ought to focus on his party ODM and leave the Azimio coalition which he opined was already nonfunctional.
Another user on X added that Uhuru was no longer an asset to Azimio asking him to take a back seat in the political scene.
“Uhuru Kenyatta is no longer an asset to Azimio and his leadership position in Azimio does more harm than good to the coalition.
“He should take a back seat in both Azimio and Jubilee,” another user added.
On the other hand, some applauded the move noting that the government had already failed Kenyans anyway.
“It’s important that the country listen to these great leaders now that Ruto’s government is unable to deliver to Kenyans and are always stuck in the past thus blaming Uhuru for the inability to deliver, ” stated Tom Muhanda.
Uhuru Meets Ambassadors
Earlier, the former President hosted delegated including ambassadors at his Nairobi office.
Notably, he met the Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Zhou Pingjian, Meg Whitman (US) and British High Commissioner to Kenya Neil Wigan
These meetings made a section of the Azimio coalition members uncomfortable, some alleging that Uhuru was making deals with President William Ruto.
On the other hand, on November 19, Uhuru Kenyatta joined Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka for a church service in Mwingi after keeping a low profile for a while.
That was his second meeting with Kalonzo as he had driven himself to the Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka center in Karen in July, joining other Azimio leaders in an interdenominational prayer service.
