DJ Joe Mfalme Subsequent Arrests and Detention
DJ Joe Mfalme, along with three police officers from Kikuyu police station, had been arrested in connection with the assault that led to the tragic death of senior Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officer, Felix Kelian Kitosi.
The incident occurred on the night of March 16, 2024, outside Texas Barbeque in Kikuyu Sub-County following an altercation between Kitosi and DJ Joe Mfalme’s entourage.
According to reports, the confrontation was sparked by a minor collision between Kitosi’s vehicle and that of the DJ.
The situation escalated rapidly, culminating in Kitosi being allegedly assaulted by the bouncers accompanying DJ Joe Mfalme.
Following the altercation, Kitosi was taken into custody at Kikuyu police station.
However, rather than finding safety, reports suggest that within the confines of the station, the accused police officers subjected him to further physical violence, exacerbating his injuries.
In the days that followed, Kitosi’s condition deteriorated rapidly. Initially admitted to Langata Hospital, he was later transferred to Nairobi West Hospital, where he tragically passed away on March 21.
Medical examinations revealed the severity of his injuries, confirming that they were the result of the physical assault he endured.
Initially, a police report attributed his injuries to a non-injury traffic accident near Kikuyu Police Station.
However, subsequent findings unveiled a more disturbing reality, implicating DJ Joe Mfalme and his associates in the assault that led to Kitosi’s demise.
