A 24-year-old student is being held by the police, after she stabbed a 33-year-old lawyer several times over a female text.
Linda Okumu, who is a student at Eldoret University, stabbed David Ochieng three times on the collar bone, abdomen, and the back in Umoja Inner Core.
Okumu saw a text message on his phone from another lady requesting financial assistance.
The two then got into a disagreement leading to Okumu stabbing Ochieng.
Ochieng, was rushed to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital at around 2 am before he was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital, whereby he was in serious condition.
The suspect is detained at Buruburu Police Station and will be presented in court once investigations are complete.
The brutal attack happens barely a month after another lawyer, Makueni-based Onesimus Masaku, was attacked by her former lover, Constable Nancy Njeri, who cut both his hands with a machete.
Masaku succumbed to the injuries, and the female officer is facing a murder charge.
