A 34-year-old mother has been arrested by police in Kajiado for allegedly killing her new-born baby and keeping the body in her house for more than three months.
The woman’s 14-year-old daughter reported to the police, saying their house situated at Majengo slums has become inhabitable due to the unbearable choking smell.
Moreover, after inspecting the house, police officers found remains of the baby in a plastic water bucket under the bed.
While confirming the incident, Kajiado Central Sub County police Commander Daudi Loronyokwe stated that the woman will be arraigned in court on Monday as police launch investigations into the bizarre incident.
The police boss further encouraged parents to seek help when they are unable to address their children’s issues instead of committing such heinous acts.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused mother gave birth at a local hospital within the town on July 16 2022.
Furthermore, detectives will also examine the mental state of the woman.
