The true identity of the main suspect in the gruesome murder of Wells Fargo Human Resource (HR) Manager Willis Ayieko has been revealed.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have indicated that the suspect, earlier identified as George Oduor Okoth, was identified by his father.
According to the Sunday, November 3 statement, George Oduor was an alias for 34-year-old Robert Wakolo Okoth.
Robert’s native home is in the Rai area of Nyamasaria in Kisumu County.
“The discovery of “Oduor’s” home which is in the Rai area of Nyamasaria in Kisumu County followed the identification of his body, preserved at JOOTRH mortuary, by his father, who clarified that his son’s real name was Robert Wakolo Okoth.
“Indeed, a national ID card retrieved from a police exhibit store for wanted criminals earlier seized during a security operation, and a report obtained from the National Registration Bureau (NRB) confirmed the father’s claim,” DCI stated.

Other Details Revealed About the Suspect
On the other hand, DCI noted that Robert had a criminal trail and for several years had managed to escape arrest.
Consequently, the DCI Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau department sought more information about the suspect and linked him to other violent attacks.
In one instance, Robert was linked to the fatal shooting of Grace Awino Odero in January 2024. The victim was a Mpesa attendant at Kibuye market near Hekima School in Lolwe.
Also, the suspect was linked to the robbery of an AK 47 rifle, from a Ugandan police officer.
“In the incident, one suspect was arrested, and an AK 47 rifle earlier robbed from a Ugandan police officer was recovered. Also recovered was a Toyota Axio Reg. No. KDL 301P that was used by the suspects in the robbery. Robert Wakolo, however, managed to get away.
