A popular Ghanaian celebrity, Efyakimora, has expressed her disappointment after being robbed of her DJI camera at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) as she visited the washroom. She uses the camera to vlog and create travel content while exploring new places around the world.
Efyakimora said that her camera was initially worth $800, a gift from a fan of her content, and is now valued at around $500 to $700. The camera is small, making it easy to carry around without arousing suspicion.
Present in the washroom with Efyakimora was a woman who confirmed she had indeed seen the camera but had no idea what it was, and even thought it was built in. A cleaner was also present at the scene, going about her usual duties, and swore she had not even seen the camera.
Upon realizing that the camera was missing, Efyakimora reported to the security guard, who promised to help her review the security footage from the time the celebrity was in the washroom and afterward, but it was of limited help, given there were no cameras in the washroom.
However, because Efyakimora and the witness were not authorized, they could not access the security footage. Approximately 20 ladies had visited the washroom where the camera went missing, making it difficult to pinpoint the culprit.

Efyakimora had recorded her experience flying with the Kenya Airways, her travel in Ghana, among other countries she had visited. She was optimistic about continuing to create more travel content.
The celebrity explained that she will, however, continue creating her content on her phone, as she cannot cancel her flight or the accommodation she has already booked.
Efyakimora had no budget but will now have to manage it, as she has only 500 dollars with her, accommodation costs approximately 450 dollars, and she has already spent most of her money in Bali.

The airport security asked her to file a complaint, but unfortunately, no one was available to assist her at the airport complaint desk. Her only option now is to contact the DJI to get her camera serial number and, hopefully, to get help from the company, as it has in the past, to replace it.
