Kenyan content creator Mungai Eve has opened up about her weight gain journey, revealing what changed her body after years of weighing about 49kg.

Eve addressed the questions during a recent social media Q&A on September 27, where followers asked about her diet, weight gain, facial fat, and the contraceptive implant she has used since 2020.

Responding to questions from her followers about her gym journey, Eve explained she began gaining weight naturally at 23 in 2023.

However, her weight would often stop changing, leading her to try weight-gain supplements to improve her appetite.

According to Mungai Eve, the supplements helped her gain weight, but she said the results did not last, and the excessive use resulted in her gaining more fat than she wanted.

“I started gaining weight naturally when I turned 23 in 2023, but my weight would always plateau. I then tried weight-gain supplements, which really helped improve my appetite at the time, but unfortunately, it wasn’t sustainable. Whenever I stopped, the weight would come off again, and when I overused them, I ended up gaining too much fat,” Eve explained.

Following failed attempts to gain weight through supplements, the content creator decided to start working out to build muscles and maintain her weight and shape.

While explaining the failed weight-maintenance journey, Eve also noted that getting older contributed to the change.

Eve also argued that nutrition and strength training helped her achieve a positive outcome in her weight journey.

Mungai Eve Clarifies on Protein Powder and Arm Implant

Eve also emphasized that protein powder is not part of her diet, saying her stomach reacts to the protein.

Instead, she said she relies on foods naturally rich in protein.

Although she cannot tolerate the powder herself, Eve said she believes it can be useful for people whose bodies tolerate it and who use it to suit their individual fitness goals.

Responding to questions regarding her contraceptive implant in her arm, she confirmed that she still has it, but it has had no effect on her weight since she began using the implant.

According to Eve, she got the implant in 2020 when she was 20 because she was in a long-term relationship and was not ready to become a parent.

“Yes, I still have it. I have had the implant since I was 20 (2020). The main reason was that I was in a long-term relationship and was not ready to become a parent. It is supposed to expire next year, so I will be removing it soon. I am still contemplating whether I will get another one or not,” Eve Mungai Clarified.

Eve Mungai’s Experience With Weight Bullying

Eve Mungai has previously spoken about the online bullying she faced because of her slim body.

In January 2026, Eve shared a photo from 2021, when she weighed 44kg, and revealed that she had been struggling to gain weight.

However, some members of the public openly criticized her weight, and during an interview with Jalang’o, Eve broke down while addressing her online bullying experiences.
