The Mara Napa Luxury Camp & Conservation is a high-end retreat situated along the Talek River, right next to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The camp is 2.6 miles from Talek town and about 250 km southwest of Nairobi. Visitors can also fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Olkiombo Airstrip in 45 minutes, followed by a 30-minute drive to the camp.
The camp offers seven luxurious tents designed for privacy and comfort. One-bedroom suites feature a queen and a king-size bed, accommodating up to four guests, while two-bedroom suites sleep up to eight.
Each tent is in a private compound and includes modern amenities such as mini- fridges, a private deck with lounge chairs, personal workout gear with yoga mat, a safe, Wi-Fi, eco-friendly toiletries, universal plugs, and mosquito nets and repellents.
At the heart of the property is the Mara Napa Center, which hosts a cultural museum, a visitor and guide center, a theater, a computer lab, a radio station, and a community café.
It is a hub for villagers, tourists, and researchers to interact, share knowledge, and appreciate the wildlife.
The camp also provides purified water, tailored meals, and eco-friendly facilities in an unfenced environment with 24-hour security. On-site, visitors can explore an authentic Maasai Manyatta, built by local Maasai women.
Guests at the camp can enjoy dining under the open sky with bush meals and take part in community development projects.
Hot air balloon safaris over the Mara offer a unique perspective of the reserve, while overnight stays in a traditional Manyatta provide an authentic Maasai experience.
Visitors can participate in cultural visits to learn about Maasai life, join cooking classes featuring local cuisine, and attend lessons on beekeeping and medicinal plants.
The camp also offers guided game drives and nature walks, as well as the opportunity to watch the sunset on the savannah while enjoying a sundowner.
