Citizen TV appears not yet done with bolstering its newsroom by scouting for top talent in the market as competitors feel the pinch. Weeks after plucking Olive Burrows from NTV studios, SK Macharia has once again raided the twin towers and poached seasoned journalist Melita Oletenges after a seven-year stint at Nation Media Group (NMG).
Oletenges did his first report at Citizen TV on Monday, July 15, during 7PM and 9:00 PM bulletins.
Citizen TV news anchor Trevor Ombija introduced Oletenges as a political affairs reporter before his package on road maintenance levy.
Moreover, Oletenges a bilingual and versatile journalist has been a dependable reporter at NMG where he joined in 2017.
Before leaving Kimathi Street, Oletenges was already anchoring 1PM bulletins, alternating with Ibrahim Karanja and Bernard Ndong.
However, before his job at NTV, he worked as a freelance journalist, right after graduating from Egerton University with a Bachelor’s degree of Arts in Communication, Journalism and Related Programs.
