The Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) has announced 21 senior managerial vacancies, inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for various positions across its departments.
In a notice dated April 21, the Authority invited qualified and interested individuals to apply for the vacant positions, stating that it seeks skilled, motivated, and self‑driven professionals to strengthen its role in regulating and overseeing maritime affairs in the country.
“The Kenya Maritime Authority is a State Corporation whose mandate is to regulate, coordinate, and oversee maritime affairs, as guided by the Kenya Maritime Authority Act, 2006, the Merchant Shipping Act, 2009, and relevant maritime international conventions. The Authority is seeking to recruit highly competent, proactive, and self‑driven individuals to fill the following vacant positions,” read part of the notice.

How to Apply for KMA Positions
According to Kenya Maritime, interested applicants are required to submit their applications online through the Kenya Maritime Authority recruitment portal at: https://recruitment.kma.go.ke:6443/
Kenya Maritime says applicants must submit a letter and a detailed curriculum vitae outlining academic qualifications, professional training, memberships in professional bodies, work experience, and other relevant information.
Copies of certificates, national identity cards, testimonials, and other supporting documents must be uploaded with the application.
KMA stated that it is an equal‑opportunity employer and encouraged applications from qualified persons with disabilities, women, youth, and candidates from marginalized areas.

Kenya Maritime emphasized that hard‑copy or email applications will not be accepted. Incomplete applications or failure to upload the required documents will result in automatic disqualification.
Successful candidates will be required to provide clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a Certificate of Good Conduct, and a clearance certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
