Patrick Nyapara, an Administration Police officer has been sentenced to life in prison on Thursday, February 23 for the murder of his lover Christine Maonga.
According to police reports, Nyapara who was stationed at Kakamega shot Christine Maonga in March 2019 at a rental house in Navakholo sub-county, Kakamega County.

Nyapara was arrested at a hideout in Nasira village in Nambale, Busia County, while trying to flee to Uganda after he committed the murder that rocked the area in Kakamega County,
Justice William Musyoka found Nyapara guilty of the murder stating that the prosecution made a convincing case against the police officer by presenting twenty-one witnesses who placed him at the murder scene.
