Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has requested President Uhuru Kenyatta to reshuffle his cabinet and also whip out rebels in his party.
In an interview with Meru vernacular radio Thiiri FM, Odinga said that Jubilee Party members were disobeying and disrespecting the head of state.
Odinga stated that some of the politicians are fighting the government’s effort on the verge of curbing corruption within the government.
He further went ahead and attacked Deputy President William Ruto, stating that he is opposing the efforts done by the president rather than working with him.
“Corruption is a problem familiar in Jubilee Party. The government is also divided and some members rant when investigating agencies arrest corruption suspects.
“We (ODM) are doing our part as the opposition as we keep Jubilee in check. I also advise Uhuru on matters I consider pertinent,” said Odinga.
Raila moreover stated that he is out promoting the Building Bridges Initiatives (BBI) to bring change in the country and that he is not using it to ascend into the presidency in 2022.
