Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga in a statement announcing he will be out of the country told off President William Ruto over his unending expression of disappointments.
Through his social media account on Sunday, October 16, Mr. Odinga asked the president and Kenya Kwanza team to stop lamenting.
“Can President William Ruto and Kenya Kwanza stop it with the lamentations?” Raila Odinga posed.
The Azimio Leader’s remarks came following the recent statements by the President and his deputy who have been lashing out at him saying he is to blame over ‘the sorry state of the country.’
The head of state and DP Gachagua have on several occasions accused Mr Odinga of abandoning his oversight role as leader of opposition during the Jubilee government’s reign and allowing the administration loot public coffers.
Moreover, the Azimio leader informed his followers that he was leaving the country in a tour to several nations across the globe, starting with India.
“Baba has left the country for a week’s visit to several nations starting with India; see you all when I am back,” Raila’s statement reads in part.

Nevertheless, Raila’s visit to India comes after two Indian tourists were abducted in Kenya. The two missing persons identified as Mr Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and Mr Zaid Sami Kidwai, went missing while in Kenya in July.
According to a statement issued last week by Mr Khan’s friends, Khan who is a journalist, was scheduled to return to his home country on July 24, 2022, but to date he has never been seen or heard from.

However, President William Ruto on Sunday, October 16, said that he had issued orders demanding that the police Special Service Unit (SSU) be disbanded.
The president noted that his decision was driven by an investigation report on the disappearance of two Indian nationals, and their taxi driver who was Kenyan was presented to him last week.
“We have disbanded the unit which was behind a series of extra-judicial killings,” said the head of state.
