Former President William Ruto’s Economic Advisor, Moses Kuria, has offered to pay back Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale and other leaders in the Kenya Kwanza government.
In a statement on August 16, Kuria said he is also ready to compensate Tiaty Member of Parliament (MP) William Kamket and Uasin Gishu County Senator Jackson Mandago.
Kuria stated that the three leaders have been claiming that a certain community is superior to the others.
He said the country cannot afford to turn back to negative ethnic politics.
Kuria also maintained that a whole community should not suffer because of one political leader.
“In the recent past, I have listened to a number of leaders allege that there is a community that thinks it’s superior to others. From Kamket to Mandago to Aden Duale in Balambala today. Some of us have unapologetically said no to returning this country to the politics of negative ethnicity. Equally, we will vehemently resist Wholesale condemnation and collective punishment of an entire community.”
He asked the three leaders to confront the person with whom they have a problem, rather than directing their frustrations at the entire community.
Kuria said he is ready to pay back Duale, Kamket, and Mandago in case Mt. Kenya residents ate their goats.
However, he asked them to stop attacking the community, adding that it can lead to severe consequences.
If you have a problem with any individual from the Mt Kenya Community, do not take it out against an entire people. If Mt Kenya people have eaten your goat Kamket, Mandago or Duale do let me know I will pay you back. Do not drive our backs against the wall. A point of no return may lead to very unintended consequences.
He slammed Duale for openly stating that the 2027 elections will be like the 2007 elections.
Kuria asked politicians to listen to themselves, research and be wary for the sake of the future generations.
Yesterday in Balambala, Aden Barre Duale declared in broad daylight that 2027 will be like 2007. The good, the bad and the ugly, I presume. Are we really listening to ourselves? I call upon all leaders to play back their speeches every evening and do some soul searching, not because of ourselves but because of our Children.
Kuria 2027 Warning
This comes after Kuria warned that there are four presidential candidates likely to cause chaos after the 2027 election.
Kuria said several analyses and predictive models were carried out before the 2007 general elections.
He stated that the analyses were downplayed even though they pointed to a very high likelihood of post-election violence.

Kuria said Kenya is experiencing the same thing ahead of the 2027 election.
He stated that there is a model that highlights four candidates who will cause chaos whether they win or lose the election.
“I came across one model recently, which I tend to agree with. There are 4 potential Presidential candidates whose victory or defeat will lead to violence in equal measure. They win, we fight; they lose, we fight,” Kuria said.

On the other hand, he said peace will prevail when two candidates win the next election
“There are two candidates whose victory will lead to peace after the elections. I hope someone somewhere is analyzing all possible scenarios,” he added.
