Being a student with an interest in sports can open doors to an opportunity to study for free in the United States (US) under sports scholarships while competing in top-level college sports.
These scholarships, offered by American universities, cover tuition, accommodation, and living expenses—allowing student-athletes to combine education with professional-level sports training.
Student-athletes have the opportunity to earn a world-class degree while training at a professional level.
Sports such as soccer, athletics, basketball, swimming, volleyball, tennis, and rugby are among the most popular.
How the Sports Scholarships Scholarship Works
Athletic scholarships typically cover between 50% and 100% of tuition, housing, meals, and other costs.
For many Kenyan students, this can mean studying in the US with little or no financial burden.
Scholarships are typically awarded for four years and are renewed annually, based on performance in both the classroom and the field.

- Athletes who have completed secondary education and want to resume studies while competing.
