Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), football’s global governing body has organized a new prime club competition, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.
This global event will bring together the most successful club sides from each of the six international confederations: AFC (Asia), CAF, (Africa), Concacaf (North, Central and Caribbean America), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania) and UEFA.
The event will involve 32 clubs that will grace the world stage from 14 June to 13 July 2025 for the inaugural edition.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be hosted by the United States.
The tournament will take place in 12 stadiums in 11 cities, primarily on the East Coast to align with European broadcasters and avoid conflicts with the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Qualified Teams for FIFA World Cup 2025
Teams primarily qualified by winning their confederation’s premier club competition from 2021 to 2024.
Additional slots were filled based on a four-year confederation ranking system, awarding points for wins, draws, and progression in continental tournaments.
León (Mexico) was disqualified due to multi-club ownership rules (shared with Pachuca). Los Angeles FC replaced the Mexican team after defeating Club América 2-1 in a playoff on May 31, 2025.
Inter Miami’s inclusion as the host nation representative was controversial, as FIFA chose the MLS Supporters’ Shield winner over the MLS Cup champion (LA Galaxy), citing a preference for a “league setting” champion.
