France vs Italy and Croatia vs England are among the headline fixtures in Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League, with the two League A encounters scheduled for October 2 and October 3.
After the league phase ends in November 2026, the best sides in League A will qualify for the finals as winners of the quarterfinal ties in March 2027.
During the finals, four teams will contest for the championship.
France vs Italy
France and Italy will meet in Group A1 on October 2 evening in one of the five matches scheduled for 9:45 pm.
France enters the match after a perfect start to their Group A1 campaign, winning both opening fixtures without conceding.
France opened their campaign on September 25 with a 1–0 victory over Türkiye, before defeating Belgium 1–0 on September 28, with Michael Olise scoring.
On the other hand, Italy lost 2–0 to Belgium on September 25 in their opening match and later won 4–1 over Türkiye on September 28, with Alessandro Bastoni, Davide Frattesi, Michael Kayode and Pio Esposito scoring for Italy.
The results left Italy with three points, while France had six points from their two wins.

Croatia vs England Match on October 3 after France vs Italy Match
Croatia will host England in Group A3 on October 3 at 7:00 pm at Stadion HNK Rijeka.
The match comes after contrasting results in the opening two rounds, with both teams entering the game on three points.
Croatia opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Czechia on September 26 before suffering a 4-1 defeat on September 29.
England lost 3-2 to Spain on September 26 before responding with a 2-0 win over Czechia in Prague on September 29.
Croatia’s next Nations League fixture is against Spain on October 6, at the same time England will face Czechia.
Croatia will later face England on November 12, with England hosting.
The two teams are in the same group as Spain and Czechia, who will meet at 11:45 pm.
Other fixtures at 9:00 pm include Belarus vs San Marino, Estonia vs Luxembourg and Iceland vs Bulgaria, while Finland will face Albania at 6:00 pm.
