Football fans in Kenya will be able to follow the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) live as the national women’s team, the Harambee Starlets, returns to the continental stage.
The tournament, scheduled to begin on July 26 and end on August 16, 2026, in Morocco, will be broadcast live on KBC Channel 1, and fans will be able to stream every match through KBC Plus.
Kenya heads into the competition after months of preparation and qualification, marking only the country’s second appearance at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations since making their debut in 2016.
How Harambee Starlets Qualified for WAFCON 2026
The Harambee Starlets secured their place at the 2026 WAFCON after defeating Gambia 4-1 on aggregate, booking their second-ever appearance at Africa’s premier women’s football tournament.
Kenya began the qualification campaign by edging Tunisia 1-0 on aggregate before producing one of the standout performances of the qualifiers against Gambia.
The Starlets were forced to respond after conceding an early goal in the first leg against Gambia at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium. The team fought back and secured a 3-1 victory.
Kenya completed the qualification mission in the return fixture played in Senegal, where captain Mwanahalima Adam Jereko scored the decisive goal to earn the Starlets a 1-0 win and a 4-1 aggregate triumph.
The qualification marked a major milestone for Kenya’s women’s football, with the team now set to compete against Africa’s best on the continental stage.
The Starlets have been drawn in Group A, where they will face tournament hosts Morocco, alongside Senegal and Algeria.
A strong start will be key for Kenya as they aim to advance to the knockout stage and make history in one of Africa’s biggest women’s football tournaments.

Harambee Starlets will begin their WAFCON 2026 campaign against hosts Morocco on July 26th at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 11.00 pm EAT.
