Russian attacks across Ukraine have killed at least six people and injured 45 others, authorities reported on January 23.
According to Military Governor Vadym Filashkin, civilian casualties were reported across several regions, with four people killed and six others injured in non-occupied Donetsk Oblast.
Ukraine’s Air Force intercepted 76 of the drones, while 19 struck 12 locations, and glide bombs were also deployed closer to the front lines.
Overnight, Russian forces launched 101 drones, including around 60 Shahed-type deep-strike UAVs.
This comes after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for a crackdown on Russian oil exports.
He argued that if Russian funds are cut off, the war could be halted.
“If Putin has no money, there is no war threatening Europe. If Europe retains the funds, it can better protect its people,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy Says One Million Ukrainian Soldiers Key to European Army
On January 22, Zelenskyy said the foundation of a future European army would be about 1 million Ukrainian servicemen.
He stressed that forming unified European forces is achievable within three to five years, depending on the political will and readiness of European nations to act swiftly.
Zelenskyy noted that Russia aims to build an army of 2.5 to 3 million personnel by 2030, based on official documents and observed military developments.
He added that the strength of future European forces will depend not only on numbers but also on the quality and experience of personnel.
According to the president, the Ukrainian army, with roughly a million soldiers experienced in combat, plays a crucial role in restraining Russia’s military advances.
He reiterated that while Ukraine has acted as a barrier to Russian aggression, continued support is essential for sustaining these efforts.
