Boda Boda Rider Killed
Antony Otieno, a 30-year-old father of three, was found brutally murdered at Meridian Apartments in South B, Nairobi, while delivering a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max, ordered online.
The victim’s body was discovered under the bed in house number 72 on the fifth floor, with his head and legs tied and a scarf stuffed in his mouth.
On the morning of the incident, Antony left a shop in the city around 10:30 a.m., heading to Meridian Apartments in South B.
The order had been placed via WhatsApp by a man claiming to be in Eldoret. He said his brother, Hillary, would collect the phone from the apartment, which had been booked as a temporary stay unit.
Hours later, Antony’s body was found under the bed in house number 14 on the fourth floor.
His hands and legs were tied with rope, and a leso was wrapped tightly around his mouth. An autopsy conducted on his body showed that he died from blunt force trauma to the head, with blood pooled beneath him.
Detectives recovered a knife, a metal rod believed to have been used in the attack, and the phone Antony had been delivering.
