President Donald Trump posted a lengthy message on Truth Social on April 9, 2026, attacking several former supporters who have criticized his administration’s actions in the war with Iran.
Trump named Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones in the post.
Trump wrote that the critics oppose preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and share “one thing in common, Low IQs.” He described them as “stupid people” who know it, along with their families and others.
Trump said the group has been “thrown off Television, lost their Shows,” and now rely on “Third Rate Podcasts.” He stated their views do not represent MAGA supporters, who he said backed him in a landslide election victory.
Trump References Past Feuds and Owens’ Claims
The post revisited old disputes. Trump mentioned Megyn Kelly’s past question to him about Rosie O’Donnell. He criticized Alex Jones for comments on the Sandy Hook shooting families and noted Jones’ bankruptcy.

On Candace Owens, Trump addressed her claims that Brigitte Macron, the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, is a man. Trump said Owens makes the accusation “when she is not,” and referenced an ongoing lawsuit.
“Actually, to me, the First Lady of France is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, in fact, it’s not even close!” Trump wrote.
Trump Says He Remains Focused on National Duties
Trump said he could bring the critics back to his side if he wanted but does not return their calls because he is busy with “World and Country Affairs.” He compared some behavior to that of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, whom he called “Traitor” Brown in the post.
Trump ended by saying MAGA stands for “winning and strength” in stopping Iran from having nuclear weapons. He added that the United States is now the “hottest” country in the world.

The comments come amid reports of internal MAGA divisions over U.S. involvement in the Iran conflict, as covered by Mediaite and The Times of Israel.
Carlson reportedly advised Trump against the war, according to The New York Times. Jones discussed using the 25th Amendment against Trump on his show.
Why This Matters
The post shows ongoing tensions between Trump and parts of the conservative media that once supported him strongly. These splits have grown as Trump pursues military and diplomatic steps against Iran.
Such public attacks from the president on prominent voices in his base could affect unity within the Republican Party and MAGA movement as the administration deals with the results of the Iran war and future negotiations.
