Kakamega County Public Service Board has announced 150 vacancies in 26 different positions.
On September 26, the Board issued a notice inviting applications from competent and qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions.
“Pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and the County Governments Act, No. 17 of 2012, the County Government of Kakamega invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions,” read part of the Kakamega County notice.
The listed opportunities are majoring in three specific departments, including the Department of Health Services (143), the Department of Social Services, Youth, Sports, gender, and Culture (3), and the Department of Public Service and County Administration (4).

In the health department, the following vacancies are available.

Departments of Social Services and County Administration
Kakamega County additionally announced seven vacancies in the Department of Social Services, Youth, Sports, Gender, and Culture, as well as the Department of Public Service and County Administration.

The two positions include Sports Assistant III and Community Administrator III.
How to Apply
The Kakamega County Public Service Board has outlined a clear process for interested applicants seeking the newly advertised positions.
According to the Board, applications for all posts except the Community Administrator must be submitted online.
Candidates are required to visit the County Website at www.kakamega.go.ke, click on the ‘Job Offers’ option, fill in the application form, and submit it before Friday, 10 October 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
However, applications for the Community Administrator role will be received manually, following the detailed instructions provided on the website.

The Board emphasised that email submissions will not be accepted.
“No emailed applications to the Board’s official email will be accepted,” a notice from the County Public Service Board reads in part.
Fraudulent activities warning
The County Government has also warned against fraudulent activity during the recruitment process, clarifying that it does not use agents or charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
